The Issues At Hand

As a Candidate for Missouri, 88th Representative District, I am committed to our children's education. Education is the key to success and I want our children to be grounded in the fundamentals that will help them move forward in their lives, to become upstanding citizens and the leaders of the future.  It is imperative that our children receive an education that will prepare them to compete in the national and global economy.  Math, English and Science should take precedence over social curricula designed to advance political ideology.  The Constitution,  U.S. History and Civics must be emphasized to develop good citizens and future leaders.

Health Care

Health care should be competitive and affordable.  I will do everything possible to foster a climate of affordable competitive health care by offering Missourians as many options as possible and not requiring government mandated plans and restrictions.  The patient, not the government, should be in charge of his or her own healthcare.

The Environment

We are to be good stewards of our natural resources and we must maintain the delicate balance between the need for development and the need for preservation of the environment.   Our natural resources are a blessing and serve to provide us with the raw materials of life.  We must use them with care and not waste.

Jobs and the Economy

Successful businesses provide Jobs and are the backbone of the economy.  I pledge to make Missouri business friendly and to support free markets and healthy competition.  Although I support a climate which will be healthy for business, I oppose subsidies, corporate welfare, and policies that  give any business an unfair advantage.  I support policies that enhance the opportunity for all people to engage in the workforce, earn a living and enjoy the fruits of their labor.
